-Hooks are preference with a bait this big... I use anywhere between 5/0 to 7/0. 

-Weights are also preference. I've had success anywhere between 1/8 to 3/4. The size I use most would probably be 1/4. I always use tungsten.

-I peg the weight more often than not.

-You can also throw it on you favorite magnum shakey head.
